Chimp trekking is an active experience where you’ll follow the chimps for about an hour as they move around. The chimps in Uganda are lively, loud, and not afraid of people, so you’ll see them swinging, fighting, grooming, and interacting socially. You can choose to go on a one-hour trek or a full-day Chimpanzee Habituation Experience. While you’re trekking, you might also see other monkeys, like L’Hoest’s monkeys, red colobus, and baboons.
Afternoon excursion to the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary
Bird lovers will find paradise in this refuge, where an afternoon nature stroll might reveal up to 50 different species. In the trees of Bigodi, you might spot around seven different species of primates on a good day. Because there are so many fruit trees there, it’s one of the greatest spots in Uganda to see monkeys. Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary is a prime illustration of a locally driven method to managing natural resources that has produced substantial benefits for the local populace.
