7 Days Kenya Bird watching

You will be picked up from your hotel of stay and depart for Lake Elmentaita arriving in the mid-morning.

Proceed for a bird walk trying to identify different bird species such as; red-billed teal, Black Heron, Glossy ibis, and black-tailed godwit among many others.

After your breakfast, you will depart to Lake Naivasha arriving by mid-morning to fit in a bird walk before lunchtime. During the trip, you will study the birds of the region such as herons, black crakes, fish eagles, ospreys, and lily trotters. Lake Naivasha being set on the floor of the Great Rift Valley, is home to an incredible variety of species.

After breakfast, check out and depart for Lake Nakuru National Park also known as the pink Heart of Kenya because of the millions of flamingoes that cover the lake with pink. You will have an afternoon game/bird viewing. The park is also home to black and white rare species of rhinos.

Today you will spend the whole day bird-watching at the park. If you are lucky, you will see the sky leopard before returning for lunch at the lodge. You will have some time to relax in the afternoon before embarking on a late afternoon game drive to see and capture what was not seen during the day.

After breakfast, check out and depart for Masai Mara across the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Masai Mara is the northern portion of the great ecosystem in the neighboring Tanzania Serengeti. It is home to the big 5; lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino as well as cheetah, giraffe, zebra, and vast herds of plain animals. After your lunch, you can perhaps relax or dip in the pool before you proceed for an evening game drive.

Early morning breakfast before starting your game drive with a picnic lunch. You will spend your full day in the Mara Plains trying to identify and record a variety of bird species.

After your breakfast, you will check out and depart to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch. upon arrival, enjoy your lunch in a local restaurant and later you will be transferred to your hotel of stay or airport for your onward flight.
