5 Days Samburu, Nakuru and Naivasha Safari

You will be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi and drive north through the central highlands of Kenya arriving at Samburu in time for lunch. Upon arrival, check-in and enjoy a hot lunch before proceeding for an afternoon game drive to see what the park has to offer. Later enjoy dinner and overnight at your accommodation.

After breakfast, head out for a full-day game drive in this unpopulated semi-arid park with chances to spot the Special Five; gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, somali ostrich, beisa oryx, and grevys zebra amidst elephants, lion, buffalo, impalas, wildebeest, and waterbuck among others. Samburu is known for the history of the female lion, Kamunyak who adopted a baby oryx and kept it safe against its natural tendency. Dinner and overnight at your accommodation.

After breakfast, check out and depart for Lake Nakuru with an enroute game drive arriving in time for lunch. After lunch and relaxation, proceed for an exciting afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is a world-renowned bird haven with over 400 bird species including flamingoes, pelicans, plovers, egrets, marabou stork, and ostriches among others. You are also likely to spot wildlife such as the endangered white and black rhinos and the rare Rothschild giraffe. Dinner and overnight at your accommodation.

After breakfast, enjoy an enroute game drive off Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha with a stopover to view the Great Rift Valley scenery. On arrival at your hotel, enjoy your lunch before proceeding for either a boat ride at Lake Naivasha or a visit to the Hells Gate National Park. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

After breakfast, carry out an optional activity depending on your previous day’s activity. Later depart for Nairobi with an enroute lunch. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your hotel in Nairobi or the Airport for your onward flight.
