Day 1 :
Arrival – Nairobi
Transfer from JKI Airport to a city hotel on bed and breakfast basis . Day spent at leisure exploring the city optional excursions are available upon request. Dinner and overnight at city hotel
Day 2 :
Mt Kenya
8, 00 am Pick up from your hotel and drive 165 kms north east of Nairobi through highlands and coffee farms to out span hotel for lunch. This serves as the base Hotel to the famous Treetops where the current British Queen was holidaying when she received news of her further death and her ascension to the throne.Afret lunch transfer to Treetops for overnight and game viewing from the hotels balcony, where you have a fantastic view of the animals that flock the flood lit water hole and salt lock below
Day 3 :
Samburu
After breakfast transfer to your base hotel and continue north through the spectacular Albert semi – arid bush country of the Northern frontier District, arriving in time for lunch at a lodge or camp . Afternoon game drive in Samburu National Reserve, full of rare animal species such as the Grieves Zebra and the long- necked Gerenuk. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or camp.
Day 4:
Samburu
Full day samburu with game drives and all meals being provided. Dinner and overnight at lodge or camp. for safety
Day 5 :
Samburu – Baringo
After breakfast drive via Nakuru with lunch stop at Hotel Kunste Thereafter continue to Lake Baringo club arriving late afternoon. A nature walk conducted by a resident guide can be arranged upon request. Dinner and overnight at lake Baringo club.
Day 6 :
Bogoria – Mt. Elgon
Early breakfast followed by visit to lake Bogoria before driving to mount Elgon Kenya wildlife service Bandas located with the Mt. Elgon National park . Picnic lunch followed by afternoon drive to the Elephant cares where you will be able to walk and explore with a guide on hand to plain the carets history . Dinner and overnight at the dandas/ hotel or camp.
Day 7 :
Mt Elgon
After breakfast depart for Kakamega where your drive takes you over the Tugen Hills, through the beautiful Keiro valley and Sirikwa plateau into the Kakamega forest. This is the country’s only tropical rain forest and formed part of the dense rain forest that stretched from West Africa across central Africa and into the highland areas East and West of the Great Rift Valley. The forest is world renowned as home to several hundred species of birds including rare snake eating birds insect , monkeys and other mammals , as well as countless, exotic tree species. Dinner and overnight at Kakamega Golf club.
Day 9 :
Kakamega – Kisumu
Drive to Kisumu‘s sunset Hotel after breakfast arriving in time for lunch . There after relax by the pool tea looks out on to Lake Victoria.
Day 10 :
Kisumu- Rusinga Island
After breakfast drive via Ahero to Katito with picnic lunch en route . There after continue via Sondu Oyugis onto Kisii with shortstop to watch the Kisii soap stone catvees at work . Thre after continue via Rongo , Home bay, Mbita to your final destination across the cause way to Rusinga lsland on lake Victoria . Your stay in Kenya would not be complete without a visit to this paradise lsland located within the second largest fresh water lake in the world and the source of the River Nile. The lake borders Kenya and Uganda. Dinner and overnight at Rusinga island lodge.
Day 11 :
Rusinnga Island
A full day spent having fun and exploring try your hand at fishing at Takawin or take a boat ride on the lake for bird enthusiasts. Enjoy the sight of fish Eagles perch a top trees like sentries then suddenly swoop down for fish on the lakes surface a fantastic bird action photo opportunity .Dinner and overnight at Rusinga Island lodge.
Day 12 :
Rusinga lsland – Kericho
After breakfast drive via Kisii to Kericho Tea Hotel with picnic lunch stop en route arrive at tea hotel in the afternoon and relax in the Hotel’s rush gardens taking in the magnificent view tae farms stretching for miles all around you . Dinner and overnight at Tea Hotel in Kericho.
Day 13 :
Kericho –Nakuru
After a leisurely breakfast drive to Lake Nakuru National park arriving in time for lunch at lake Nakuru lodge. Afternoon game drive around the lakeshore and the park in search of game. Dinner and overnight at lake Nakuru lodge.
Day 14 :
Nakuru- Nairobi
Early morning game drive before breakfast. Thereafter drive to Nairobi arriving during lunch and drop off at your hotel.
