Mt. Meru is the second largest Mountain in Tanzania after Mt. Kilimanjaro. Its 4566m above sea level and it has a lot of birds species the best months to climb are September and April although at they others months can be done

Itinerary
Day 1 :
Leave Nairobi at 08.00 Hrs by shuttle Bus arriving Namanga border at 11.00 Hrs and Arusha time for lunch. After lunch spend the whole afternoon at Leisure sorting out your climbing requirements. Overnight at Arusha Hotel on bed and breakfast basis at an extra cost.
Day 2 :
After breakfast you will be transferred to Momella gate then hike to Miriakamba Campsite afternoon at Leisure Dinner and overnight at Miriakamba site altitude – 2514m
Day 3 :
After breakfast – proceed to saddle camp from Miriakamba towards the little Meru in the average hiking time of 5 hours lunch enroute dinner and overnight at the saddle campsite altitude 3570m.
Day 4 :
A SADDLE – ARUSHA VIA MERU PARK – After breakfast ascent to the summit of Mt. Meru and then descent all the way to Momella gate having lunch enroute from Momella gate transfer to Arusha town at a budget hotel for Dinner and overnight.
Day 5 :
After breakfast depart from Arusha for Nairobi either you can leave in the morning or Afternoon.
Arriving to Nairobi either after lunch or late evening all dropping off at your hotel.
