Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi To Masai Mara

This first day of your safari entail the long 5 to 6 hours drive from Kenya capital Nairobi city to Masai mara game reserve. Our guide will pick you up from Nairobi Kenya airport or your place of stay. You will be arriving in masai mara in time for lunch. Then later in the evening you will proceed for your evening game drive. Later dinner and overnight at Serena lodge.

Day 2: Masai Mara Full Day Game Drive

You will be up early to an amazing breakfast at your place of accommodation and after you will head out for a day filled with game drive through masai mara game reserve. In this park expect to see lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, buffaloes and among others. You will have break to refresh and have lunch at your own convenience and the whole game drive will finish at 5 pm. After game drive you will head to Serena Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Masai Mara Full Day Game Drive

You will be up early to an amazing breakfast at your place of accommodation and after you will head out for a day filled with game drive through masai mara game reserve. In this park expect to see lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, buffaloes and among others. You will have break to refresh and have lunch at your own convenience and the whole game drive will finish at 5 pm. After game drive you will head to Serena Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 : Fly from Masai Mara to Entebbe – Visit the Source of the Nile

Connect for your flight departing for Masia Mara airport at 8:45 and arriving at 11:30 am with en-route Kisumu airport. On arrival in Entebbe airport at 11:30 pm, meet your safari guide and transfer to Jinja with en-route lunch.
It’s about 3 hours’ drive from Entebbe to Jinja on a clear road with traffic. Upon arrival in Jinja, first check-in at your hotel then connect to explore the source of the Nile and also take a boat trip on Lake Victoria. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Jinja Nile Village Hotel and Spa

Day 5 : Transfer To Kibale Forest National Park

After early morning breakfast, check-out of the hotel and embark on your journey to Kibale forest national park. This park is located in the western park of Uganda near Fort Portal town. The drive is interesting with great views of the country’s landscape and the people. Have en-route lunch in Mubende town. Proceed to the Kibale forest, visit the crater lakes before check-in at your booked lodge, dinner and overnight stay at Crater Safari lodge/Chimpunzu Lodge

Day 6 : Chimpanzee Tracking And Bigodi Swamp Nature Walk

After early morning breakfast at the lodge, connect to Kibale forest for your chimpanzee tracking experience with your packed snacks and water. You will first report at the park headquarters for a briefing before entering the forest for the activity. During your tracking, expect to see a lot of primate species like chimpanzees, monkeys and other animals like the forest elephants, buffaloes, bush pig and duiker, warthogs, reptiles as well as a colorful variety of butterflies. Return to the Lodge for lunch.
Visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. The reserve is abundant with butterflies, plants, animals and, in particular, birds. Spectacular birds like Great Blue Turaco and rare Papyrus Gonolek will be of great interest to birders. The swamp is also home to more elusive animals such as Red Colobus monkeys and Sitatunga antelope. There is also the opportunity to visit local community projects that have been financed by tourism. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above

Day 7 : Transfer To Queen Elizabeth National Park – Boat Cruise Along The Kazinga Channel

After breakfast, transferred to Queen Elizabeth national park- Uganda’s second largest national park. This is a 3 hours’ drive from Kibale forest national park. You will have a stopover at the equator and take pictures then proceed to your booked lodge for lunch before time for the boat cruise at 2 pm.
The Kazinga channel offers plenty of both land and water animals to see like the African Elephants, Buffaloes that come to drink from the lake, crocodiles, and large schools of hippos, you will also spot different species found in the park. Return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overstay at Elephant Plains Lodge/ Mweya Safari Lodge

Day 8 : Kasenyi Morning Game Drive With Bush Breakfast - Transfer To Bwindi Via Ishasha Sector For Climbing Lions

Depart the lodge as early as 6 am for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi area to catch up with the early risers. Explore the Kasenyi sector – a known mating ground for kobs and a hunting ground for lions. While on the game drive, expect to see some of the big four-game including lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, also different species of antelopes, and warthogs.
Enjoy your bush breakfast then embark on your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable national park – home to the mountain gorillas in Uganda. It’s a 5-6 hours’ drive from QENP to Buhoma sector of Bwindi impenetrable national park and is the closest sector from Queen. With en-route via Ishasha sector and lunch. Upon arrival, connect to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma Lodge/Mahogany Springs Lodge

Day 9 : Gorilla Trekking Experience – Buhoma Sector

After early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing about the endangered mountain gorillas from the park warden. Along with your trekking gear, drinking water and packed lunch, the driver will drop you off at the starting point to trek the gorillas together with the ranger guides. This activity may take between 1-8 hours searching for the gorillas depending on their movement. However. meeting them is so rewarding and you will spend maximally 1 hour with them as you take time studying them and taking pictures and videos
After the gorilla trekking experience, the driver will be waiting to take you back to your lodge. If you still have time, (Optional activity) you could take time and visit the community around Bwindi forest and get to understand their ways of life. Later proceed to your lodge for relaxation dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 10 : Transfer To Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast early in the morning, you drive to Lake Bunyonyi. It’s about 3 hours’ drive from Buhoma sector of Bwindi impenetrable national park. Proceed to Lake Bunyonyo which is the second deepest lake in East Africa. Drive through the rolling hills of Kabale to reach your booked lodge.
Upon arrival, check-in at your booked lodge for lunch and later afternoon explore the lake on a canoe ride and visit some of the islands on the lake. Bunyonyi comprises of 29 islands especially the punishment island. Return to the lodge for relaxation with great views of the lake and the hills. Dinner and overnight stay at Bunyonyi BirdNest lodge
Optional activity: Zip-lining experience.

Day 11 : Transfer Back To Kampala/Entebbe (8-9 Hours’ Drive) – Departure

Enjoy an early morning breakfast and transfer back to Kampala with a stopover in Mbarara for lunch and stop at the Uganda Equator for pictures and the Equator experience if you missed out of the one in Queen Elizabeth national park. You will either be dropped off in Entebbe or at Entebbe airport for your onward flight. End of your trip.
