Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kilimanjaro

This first day of your tour to Tanzania starts with arrival into Kilimanjaro International Airport where our Safari Manager will pick you up and transfer you in a private car to your lodge in round Arusha town with pre-safari briefing en route and on arrival. Any outstanding payment will also be collected. Dinner and overnight at Mount Meru Game Lodge. Dinner included.

Day 2 : Tarangire National Park

Your actual wildlife safari starts with a 2 hour drive to Tarangire National Park which is famous for its large herds of elephants and the massive baobab trees. After a few minutes registration at the gate you will embark on your first game drive right away in search of the big game and spend the whole day in the bush with picnic lunch taken at one of the picnic sites. At Tarangire you expect to have a highlight of all the Tanzania safari with a lot of possibility to spot the elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, impalas, gazelles, the rare gerenuks and with a little bit of luck you can spot the cats like cheetahs, leopard and lions but also the rare fringe eared oryx. Tarangire National Park is also famous for birds including rare ones like the Ashy starlings and man more. Later in the afternoon you will be transferred to Karatu in the Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and overnight at Marera Valley Lodge. All meals included.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast at the camp we set off for Ngorongoro Conservation crossing the Great Rift Valley on the way with nice scenery to enjoy. After a short stop at the Loduare Main gate where we will register to access the Conservation area you will be driven to the Crater rim a another brief stop to catch stunning views over the Crater floor and take some pictures. We will then descend into the Crater floor for game drives for the rest of the day checking in at the lodge in the late afternoon by 6.00 PM. Ngorongoro Crater also called the Eden of Africa is the only place where you can spot the Big Five in one day with very little luck. Being a small area of just about 21 Km across the largest unbroken caldera in the world, it is amazing the number of animals you get to see at very close range in a single day of game drives at the Crater floor. You expect to see elephants, lions, zebras, hyenas, jackals, rhinos, leopards, cheetahs, name it. Picnic lunch will be served at a picnic site at the Crater, and watch out for the kites lest they snatch your food or fingers. Overnight at Marera Valley Lodge. All meals included.

Day 4 : Serengeti National Park

You will wake up early in the morning for breakfast then we set off again further in the wilderness to Serengeti National Park, the land of the big cats and home to the famous Great Wildebeests Migration. We will stop briefly at Naabi Hill gate for registration then the rest of the day will be spent doing game drives in the endless plains. Game drives will go on until late in the afternoon when you will check in at Thorntree Camp or Serengeti Tortilis Camp. All meals included.

Day 5 : Full day at Serengeti

Early morning game drive is a good option this day to spot the nocturnal species and the diurnal ones as they rise for a new day. During the morning also many animals will easily be spotted by the tracks sides as they escape the morning dew, and the enjoy the songs of the rising birds. Depending on the time that you season that you visit Serengeti you can be lucky to see the herds of the Great Wildebeests Migration (ask our experts for their location). Even without the wildebeest Migration herds in Serengeti ; thousands of resident animals including buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, lions, elephants, topis, Thompsons and Grant’s gazelles, impalas, warthogs and many bird species that never are resident to this incredible park. Overnight at Thorntree Camp or Serengeti Tortilis Camp. All meals included.

    What Others Say About Us

I recommend Simba Paka Safaris. We had a great experience at the Maasai Mara with our guide who was extremely knowledgeable and managed to help us see all the animals that we wanted to see. Diana B
I did the 4 day Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru safaris. From start to finish, Simba Paka Tours was professional, reactive, and great at communicating all facets of the trip. I did the mid-range tour and Paul organized my hotels on arrival and departure, transfers, and the best tour guide possible. If you do this tour and you get Johnny Jackson as a guide, you will be very lucky. Hellen W

We did a 7-day Safari from Masai Mara over Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha to Amboseli. First of all, our driver/guide Francis was wonderful! He was super engaged, always attentive, and made sure we got the best possible views and pictures. When we asked for something, he immediately ensured it was sorted out. Max F
