    Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive in Tanzania

10-Day Mt KilimanjaroUpon arrival in Tanzania, you will settle at your hotel in Moshi for your dinner and overnight to begin your trekking on the following day using the northern circuit route.

Day 2 : londorossi gate – start point- mti Mkubwa camp

10-Day Mt KilimanjaroThe lemosho route departs from the far west side of Mount Kilimanjaro. Getting to Londorossi gate(2100m) takes approximately 2 hours from Moshi. You will register at Londorossi gate with the Kilimanjaro national park authorities before getting back to be transported to the starting point which is a 12km distance. You will have your lunch at this point before starting your trek to my Mkubwa camp for dinner.

    Day 3 : mti mkubwa camp(2820m) - shira camp 1(3500m)

10-Day Mt Kilimanjaro Day three starts with a gradual hike through the final stretch of the rainforest zone which gets steeper as you approach the low alpine moorland zone. The trek is short which makes it easy to Shira Camp 1. It’s a 9km distance.

    Day 4 : shira camp1 (3500m) – moir hut (4200m)

10-Day Mt KilimanjaroFrom Shira One camp, you will proceed your trekking across and up the Shira plateau to Shira Camp two at 3850m. Here you will join trekkers from the Machame route whilst enjoying stunning views across the valley below and the western breach of Kilimanjaro above. You will proceed to Shira caldera and onto the off-the-beaten-path to Moir hut. You finish at a high altitude and you may feel altitude sickness symptoms.

    Day 5 : moir huts (4200m ) – buffalo camp (4020m)

10-Day Mt KilimanjaroBegin the morning trek heading out of the moorland and into the stark alpine desert, on a steep ridge off the main trail, beginning your venture on the northern circuit route. This section of the trail offers great views across the plains that lie north of Kilimanajro.

    Day 6 : Buffalo camp ( 4020m ) – Rongai third cave ( 3800m)

10-Day Mt KilimanjaroAs you head up buffalo ridge the terrain becomes increasingly sparse. The route is rarely traveled and we will enjoy its mountain wilderness feel. We trek through remote valleys on the northern slopes of Kilimanjaro until you arrive at the third cave.

    Day 7 : Third cave (3800m ) – school hut ( 4800m )

10-Day Mt KilimanjaroA steady ascent over the saddle which sits between the peaks of Kibo and Mawenzi peak. You continue southwest to school hut where you will be served an early dinner and go to rest as you will begin your summit bid just before midnight. The trekking distance is around 6 km.

    Day 8 : school hut (4800m ) – uhuru peak (5895m) – millennium camp (3950m)

At around midnight, you begin your push to the summit. This is the most mentally and physically challenging portion of the trek.

    Day 9 : millennium camp (3950m )- mweka gate (1640m )

10-Day Mt KilimanjaroIt’s the final day of trekking and is a short hike through the dense montane rainforest from millennium camp to Mweka gate.

      What Others Say About Us

I recommend Simba Paka Safaris. We had a great experience at the Maasai Mara with our guide who was extremely knowledgeable and managed to help us see all the animals that we wanted to see. Diana B
I did the 4 day Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru safaris. From start to finish, Simba Paka Tours was professional, reactive, and great at communicating all facets of the trip. I did the mid-range tour and Paul organized my hotels on arrival and departure, transfers, and the best tour guide possible. If you do this tour and you get Johnny Jackson as a guide, you will be very lucky. Hellen W
Amazing Safari! We did a Safari with Paul and his staff, 5 days in Masai Mara. It was a wonderful experience, that allowed us to see all the Big Five thanks to our guide's ability! Paul is very gentle and professional. I recommend it very much for a unique experience. Sabina F

We did a 7-day Safari from Masai Mara over Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha to Amboseli. First of all, our driver/guide Francis was wonderful! He was super engaged, always attentive, and made sure we got the best possible views and pictures. When we asked for something, he immediately ensured it was sorted out. Max F
