If there is one word that describes Lake Nakuru National Park, it is the Variety.

Another special feature of the park you won`t want to miss is the Rhino Sanctuary. The park hosts over 25 endangered black rhinos and about 70 white rhinos.

The Park has Kenya`s largest population of rhinos. The surface he Lake Nakuru occupies about a third of the park.

It supports a dense bloom of the blue-green Cyanophyte spirulina platensis from which it derives its color and is a food source for flamingoes.


Mammals: 56 different species including white rhinos, waterbuck etc.

1 Day Lake Nakuru – Flamingo safari

1 One-day trip in Kenya drives you to Lake Nakuru in the volcano-strewn Rift Valley, one of the chains of & lakes stretching the length of Kenya from Tanzania to Ethiopia. The the160 km drive from Nairobi passes through the highland farm of the Kikuyu people before descending an escarpment into the dramatic land escape of the Rift. Lunch taken followed by an extensive tour that focuses on the birdwatching spectacle of a million flamingos which seeks the large variety of wildlife that abounds in the park. The tour ends with dropping off at the hotel for dinner overnight.
