Akagera National Park

Akagera National Park is situated in eastern Rwanda, on the border with Tanzania. It is the largest protected wetland in Africa with a rich diversity of wildlife species like lions, giraffes, zebras, and hippos. The fascinating Lake Ihema, located within this national park, has allowed it to offer wildlife activities such as boat cruises. The park is the only haven for savannah wildlife animals in the Republic of Rwanda and the only place to sight most of the large animals while on safari.
