Kilimanjaro National Park
Kilimanjaro National Park is located 300km south of the equator and in the Kilimanjaro region, of Tanzania. The park is located near the region of Moshi. It is endowed with a diverse variety of attractions ranging from terrestrial wilderness to permanent glaciers on the mountain peaks.
Kilimanjaro National Park is home to Mount Kilimanjaro which is the tallest mountain in Africa and the tallest free-standing mountain in the world. It reaches a maximum height of 19,341 feet (5,895 m) at Uhuru Peak. Uhuru peak is part of the Kibo cone, which is one of three volcanic cones found on the mountain.
It got various number of wildlife such as elephant, cape buffalos, giraffes, blue monkeys, leopards, eastern black and white colobuses and variety of bird species.
The park also has various tourist activities such as mountain climbing, game viewing, bird watching, picnicking and filming.
