Tsavo East National Park

Tsavo East National Park is one of the oldest and largest parks in Kenya at 13747km2. It is situated in a semi arid area in the coastal region.  It is famous with large herds of the red-dusted elephants which like rolling on the red dusty soil. Tsavo East national park is drained by two rivers  the Tsavo river and Athi river. The two rivers join together forming a large famous Galana River. It provides undeveloped wilderness homes to vast numbers of animals. Famous are the Tsavo lions, a population whose adult males often lack manes entirely.

The Yatta plateau is a key destination in Tsavo East National Park and the park  hosts a large number of permanent resident animals they include big five 9 lion,leopard, buffalo, elephant ,rhino ), hippos, crocodiles, gerenuk, zebras, waterbucks and many more. The park is ideal in game drives, bird watching, nature walks and photographic safaris.
