Samburu National Reserve

Samburu National Reserve is a game reserve on the bank of the Ewaso Ng’iro River covering 165 square kilometers. It is a unique conservation haven famous for an abundance of rare species of animals. Special five: gravy zebra, small ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and the beisa oryx.  The reserve is home to a population of about 900 Elephants.

Wildlife: All three big rats, the lion, cheetah, and African leopard can also be found here, as well as buffalo, hippo’s impala, olive baboon, warthogs, and grant gazelle, among others.

Activities: The reserve supports different tourist activities such as trekking excursions, guided bush walks, night game drives, visiting the local Samburu caves, and cultural visits
