Samburu National Reserve

Samburu National Reserve is a game reserve on the bank of Ewaso Ng’iro river covering 165 kilometres squares. It is a uique conservation haven famous for an abundance of rare species of animals `Special five’ : gravy zebra, smali ostrich , reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and the beisa oryx.  The reserve is a home to a population of about 900 Elephants.

Wildlife: All three big rats  the lion, cheetah and African leopard can also be found hereas well as buffalo, hippos impala, olive baboon, warthogs and grant gazelle among others.

Activities: The reserve supports different tourist activities such as trekking excursions, guided bush walks, night game drives, visiting the local Samburu caves and cultural visits
