Lake Naivasha is a fresh water lake in Kenya and its part of the Great Rift Valley being the highest lake within the region. With a surface area of 139 kilometers squares, Lake Naivasha dominates the landscape and is surrounded by a swamp and beyond by forests of the fever tree. It is famous for its high population of hippos and flamingos. The lake is a birder’s  paradise as it is home to over 400 bird species.

Wildlife: With access to the crescent island, it supports wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, impalas, and waterbucks.

Activities: The activities at the lake include boat rides, Crescent Island, Crater Lake Game Sanctuary, as well as the Elsamere conservation center.
