5 day beautiful road trip safari covers the Great Rift Valley, Africa`s famous canyon, and continues to Lake Nakuru- home to hundreds of thousands of flamingos, pelicans.
Numerous other bird species into the magnificent Lake Naivasha and Hell’s Gate.
The tour ends at the renowned Masai Mara, which has been declared the 7th wonder of the world due to its spectacular migrating wildebeest.
Safari Day 1: Masai Mara Game Reserve (230 km – 5 hours)
This morning, we shall pick you up from your residence/ hotel at 07:30 am and drive through the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve.
This enormous reserve is part of the vast Serengeti plains.
Famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration, and is home to the Big Five: lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino.
Have lunch at the camp and relax before departing for the afternoon game drive.
The Mara Game Reserve is one of the greatest wildernesses in the world.
Large mammals are varied and easy to see.
The wild animals in the parks are the Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, and Eland. Thousands of plains game, including Impala, Zebra, and both Thomson’s and Grant’s Gazelles.
Safari Day 2: Full Day Masai Mara Game Reserve
A full day is spent viewing the great predators and exploring the park’s amazingly high concentration of wild animals.
On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals, plus the elusive Cheetah and Leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs.
During the stay, we also have an optional opportunity to visit a village of the Masai people to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals.
A glimpse into their homes and social structure can be a poignant experience. Have dinner and spend the night at the camp.
Safari Day 3: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park (196 km – 5hours)
After breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, located in the Great Rift Valley. Lunch will be served on the way there.
Afterward, proceed to Lake Nakuru. The park is home to stunning flocks of lesser and greater flamingos, which turn the lake shores into a magnificent pink stretch.
The bird life here is world-renowned, with over 400 species, including white pelicans white pelican’s plovers, egrets, and marabou storks.
It is also one of the very few places in Africa where you can see the white and black rhino, as well as the rare Rothschild giraffe. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at the camp.
Safari Day 4: Lake Nakuru Np – Lake Naivasha (92 km – 2hours)
After an early breakfast at the camp/lodge, we begin our journey to Lake Naivasha with an en-route game drive in Lake Nakuru.
Arrive at your camp or lodge in the early afternoon for lunch, and the afternoon is spent on Crescent Island.
Boat ride sails to this animal sanctuary where herbivores like the zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, and hippo reside. Later, return to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay at your camp.
Safari Day 5 Lake Naivasha – Nairobi
After breakfast, leave the camp/hotel for the extension tour to the Hell’s Gate National Park, this is one of the few parks where you can walk or cycle to see the wild animals.
There is a geothermal power station at an extra cost of $30, and very beautiful scenery that you will admire in the park. At noon, we shall return for lunch and then depart for Nairobi, where your tour ends.
