The name “Amboseli” comes from a maasai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of the lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands. They can also visit the local Maasai community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture.
DAY 1.NAIROBI AMBOSELI.
09:00HRS pick up from Nairobi hotel
09:30HRS departure from Nairobi and drive south through Maasai country via Namanga on the Tanzania border and on to Amboseli. On arrival settle on the camp or lodge. Proceed for a short game drive which provides a chance to see rhino, lion, giraffe, elephants and many other animals with Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak providing a beautiful back drop. Dinner and overnight at camp.
0630-1100HRS pre breakfast game drive with optional activities after breakfast.
Lunch break followed by afternoon game drive .dinner and overnight at the camp.
DAY 3.AMBOSELI NAIROBI.
After breakfast leave camp/lodge for the last game drive from 0630-0900HRS leave Amboseli National Park for Nairobi. Picnic lunch is served en-route . Arrive at Nairobi in the afternoon.
