Meru National Park is a Kenyan Game park located east of Meru,350 km from Nairobi. Covering an area of 870 km², it is one best known National Parks in Kenya. It has abundant rainfall, 635–762 mm in the west of the park and 305–356 mm in the east. The rainfall results in tall grass and lush swamps. The park has a wide range of wild animals. Meru was one of the two areas in which conservationists George Adamson and Joy Adamson raised Elsa the Lioness made famous in the bestselling books.

Day 1: Nairobi – Meru National Park.

A safari briefing will be provided before you depart for Meru National Park. Meru National Park safari is well known for its bird life, riverine and forest as well as the dry arid species.

Depart Nairobi in the Morning at 0800 Hours and drive to north to Meru National Park. We shall make a brief stop at Ogutu to see the Equator. We arrive in time for lunch, check-in to our rooms then later relax before the evening game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at Ikweta Safari Camp or equivalent

Meal Plan {Lunch & Dinner}

Day 2: Explore Meru National Park.

We spend a full day in the Meru National Park on morning and afternoon game drive. Meru wildlife includes large herds of Buffalo, Bushbuck, Duiker, Eland, Elephant, Gazelle, Genet, Giraffe, Hartebeest, Impala, Kudu, Waterbuck and Gravy Zebra.

Expect to see Baboons, Hyena, Jackal, Kudu, Lion, Mongoose, Oryx, Oribi, Vervet Monkeys and Warthog. You may see Wild dog, Bush baby, Caracal, Cheetah, Civet, Dik-dik, Leopard, Otter, Bush pig, Porcupine, Black and White Rhino. The rivers are abound with Hippo and Crocodile. Bird life includes Peter’s fin foot which inhabits the Murera and URA Rivers, the Pel’s Fishing Owl, Kingfishers, Rollers, Bee-eaters, Starlings and numerous Weavers.

Dinner and overnight stay at Ikweta Safari Camp or equivalent. Meal Plan {Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner}

Day 3: Meru – Drive to Nairobi.

Indulge in a pre-breakfast game drive before going back to the camp for a sumptuous breakfast. After breakfast, check out and drive back to Nairobi with lunch en-route to arrive early evening.
